JOB DESCRIPTION 

Under the supervision of the Design Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing automation projects, improving flight control tools and algorithms for hydrofoil boats, maintaining and supporting systems, and improving Pixel sur Mer products for navigation and safety at sea.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES 

  • Complete management of complex automation projects, from initial study to commissioning:
    • Analysis of requirements and drafting of specifications, feasibility studies.
    • Drafting of technical and commercial bids.
    • Detailed planning and project management.
    • Drafting of technical specifications, electrical diagrams and wiring diagrams.
    • System modeling and simulation.
    • Technical choices, definition of mechatronic and software architecture, selection of sensors and actuators, component sizing.
    • Automatic studies and definition of appropriate control laws.
    • Programming of ECUs.
    • Integration, testing and parameterization in situ.
    • Write user manuals and train users.
  • Continuous improvement of the tool chain and algorithms dedicated to the flight control of hydrofoil boats.
  • Active participation in the maintenance and technical support of systems already deployed.
  • Contribution to the improvement of Pixel sur Mer products for ship piloting and safety at sea.

DESIRED PROFILE 

  • Engineering degree in robotics/automation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with proven expertise in managing and implementing complex automated systems.

SKILLS 

  • Solid knowledge and proven experience in automation with mastery of various types of control (PID, LQR, H∞, non-linear control, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink modeling and simulation.
  • Solid knowledge of signal processing.
  • Mechatronics skills for actuator sizing and selection.
  • In-depth
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics (CFD) and aerodynamics: understanding of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic principles applied to foils.
  • Experience in implementing real-time embedded systems.
  • Programming skills: C/C++, Python, PLC (Structured Text).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to diagnose complex technical problems and find effective solutions.
  • Excellent ability to write technical reports, user manuals and specification documents.
  • Proven project management skills: planning, coordination and supervision of complex automation projects from initial study to commissioning.

CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • Permanent contract position to be filled immediately.
  • Location: Lorient La Base.
  • Travel: occasional travel may be required.
