Job Description

 Working as part of the Optical Fiber instrumentation department, the engineer will have the following tasks :

  • Design, conception, study and measurement
  • Laying fiber optics and integrating systems in the field and in the workshop. Data processing and project reporting.
  • Project management: defining specifications in line with customer objectives, monitoring the project, coordinating engineers and technicians, working with subcontractors).
  • Proposing and deploying R&D initiatives (new products, processes, etc.).
  • Proposing improvements to existing products and internal processes.

 Required profile:

  • Engineering level/ 5 years' higher education (mechanical, structural or naval engineering)
  • Expertise in fiber optic measurement technologies (Bragg gratings)
  • Good command of the mechanics of continuous media (strength of materials) and composite materials.
  • The ability to make proposals and bring R&D projects to a successful conclusion.
  • Good command of English
  • Maritime or aeronautical experience desirable
